Through out this book, Greg comes to many different problems. Such as he's father making him join the soccor team , to when he is trying to ask out his crush. But when he's parnets try to ship him off to boot camp, that pushs Greg to the last staw.

In this book Greg thinks he is to that doesn't need to fix anything with himself, but snoops around trying to get other people to deal with their problems. Greg is forced to do soccer this year by his dad, and he found out soon that he was bad at soccer and gets his dad mad by making his team loose.The whole time in this book he tries to prove to his dad that he is manly so he doesn't have to go military school, but he fails and gives up.
